The Pima Air & Space Museum is one of the largest air and space museums in the world! It is the largest, non-government funded aviation museum with more than 300 aircraft, spacecraft and historically significant and technically advanced aircraft ever produced. Some of my favorite aircraft are the Super Guppy, a super-transport designed to carry very large parts for Nasa, the B-17 Flying Fortress, the B-29 Super Fortress, the B-52 Stratofortress Strategic Bomber, and the Boeing VC-137B, the airplane flown for past presidents. My favorite plane on display is the Douglas VC-118A Liftmaster – the airplane of John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. The museum is open daily to 5 PM, costs $15.50 for an adult and is located at 6000 E. Valencia Road.
