We have rented many homes over the last 20 years. Most were short term rentals for a week. The last 11 years we have rented for a much longer term ( 3 months at a time). This is our first rental where the owner also lived on the property. We have never had a host like [the owner]. Our experience is whether it is short term rental or long term when you arrive it is mad dash to get to the grocery store after a long day of travel. That is not what we want to do when tired. Staying at Sonoran Spirit was a totally different experience. There were snacks, bottled water, coffee, cereal, milk and condiments provided. WOW no mad dash to the grocery on day one. Even little things like trash bags, kitchen sponges and dish washer soap was present. The pictures online are accurate. There was no editing to make spaces look larger. What we could not see was the cleanliness of the home. It was spotless. What you don't see is what is in the cabinets. There were plenty of linens that looked new. The big surprise was the equipment in the kitchen. There was at least two of everything. Besides the Keurig and accompanying pods there was a regular coffee maker along with coffee. There were even toys and games for the kids. If you are inclined to do your own cooking and baking there is a mixer and plenty of pans and measuring cups. Our past experiences were not like this. There was even a wine aerator for our use. Being at Sonoran Spirit for a long period having Direct TV with an excellent movie package was a big bonus especially during the pandemic. As mentioned [the owner] lives in the guest house on the property. The way the houses were positioned on the property we rarely saw him. If we had a question we texted him and always received an immediate response. [The owner] uses Casago as his rental agent. They, too, are on top of things. They were friendly and responsive. We have heard horror stories where the agents are almost non-existent. In talking to [the owner] he mentioned that he has some plans he is working on for the future in the kitchen. Usually at the end of the comments the author writes about if they would return. We already booked for next year.
