The Santa Catalina Mountains around Sabino Canyon are incredibly beautiful and a hikers dream. With trails, streams, pools, plants and wildlife, the canyon is both challenging and adventurous for experienced or amateur hikers. A tram is available for those with an aversion to hiking and bicycles are welcome. Be on the lookout for Roadrunners, Javelina, White Tail Deer, Tarantula and a variety of snakes including Rattlesnakes. The canyon is open daily to 4 PM or 4:30 PM, costs $8 per adult and is located at 5900 N. Sabino Canyon Road.
